Inauguration of Sahabat Pelajar Indonesia at MTSN 1 Surabaya

Laznas BSM Umat held the Inauguration of Sahabat Pelajar Indonesia at MTSN 1 Surabaya on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. The symbolic handover was held in one of the Madrasah classes, which was attended by scholarship recipient students, the leader of BSM Jemur Handayani, the Management of Laznas BSM Umat, Principal MTSN 1 Surabaya and Head of Surabaya City Ministry of Religion Office.


On this occasion, Mr. Wittono as the Head of MTSN 1 of Surabaya City thanked BSM for providing scholarships to students of MTSN 1 Surabaya, besides also advising students to use the scholarship money as well as possible and participate in the program implemented by Laznas BSM .


Furthermore, Mr. Sulaiman as Branch Manager of BSM Jemur Handayani Surabaya delivered a prayer request that the recipient of the Indonesian Student Friends scholarship program will continue to expand and more.


Then Aprilia Eviyanti as Manager of the Educators' Division said that Sahabat Pelajar Indonesia aimed at SMP / MTs and SMA / SMK / MA students already exists in Jabodetabek, Jogja, Surabaya, Papua, Makassar, Pontianak, Padang, Palembang and several Java islands.


In addition to providing scholarships in the amount of Rp. 300,000 / month for each student, but also provides a guidance program by mentors for scholarship recipients making it more directed according to the Laznas BSM program. The people realize a quality generation


Meanwhile, Head of Surabaya City Ministry of Religion, Mr Husnul Maram in his remarks conveyed that the scholarship given by Laznas BSM Umat was very beneficial for students. Not only in terms of nominal but with the assistance, can direct students to become better.


"Scholarships in the form of money are indeed useful but with the addition of assistance making students better. Hopefully in the future not only 2 MTs will get assistance, considering that in Surabaya there are 48 MTS and 18 MAN, the more institutions that can be, the more it creates quality next generation."said Mr Maram.
